Trish Sie has directed some of the most universally heralded and ubiquitously downloaded music of all time. Her most recent project OK Go’s ‘Upside Down & Inside Out,’ racked up more than 47 million hits in its first week online. It was shot entirely in weightlessness aboard a plane that simulates zero-gravity, and has since been praised by critics and fans alike as a truly ground-breaking piece of filmmaking.
Trish’s background as a professional dancer and choreographer with Pilobolus aided her transition to filmmaking in 2006 with Ok Go’s “Here It Goes Again”, earning her and the band a Grammy Award for best short-form music video.
This success led to commercial work for brands such as Levi’s, Haagen-Dazs, Sony, Old Navy, Dole, Carl’s Jr, Hunts, Big Lots, and more. Her work has been honored by Creativity Magazine, the Cannes Advertising Festival, and Saatchi & Saatchi’s New Director's Showcase among others.
Trish’s first feature film ‘Step Up All In’ was screened globally, and grossed more than $90 million worldwide. She also writes and creates her own short films and concept videos, most recently including ‘Not Alone’ and ‘Being Dennis’ which are currently enjoying success on the festival circuit. Her newest short film, ‘The Big Breakup’ deals with America’s dysfunctional relationship with guns and will be released this year.
